sync to/from ftp

It would be nice to be able to sync to an ftp site.

agree, but...

...ftp ist not worth a thing, if it's not possible to use sftp. ftp ist generally unsecure, when not used with external encryption.
and implementing of ssh in toucan surely means a lot of work and toucan is very young.
but of course - i would love toucan and (s)ftp, if it would be done... Smiling

An iteresting idea,

but I'm afraid as you said it would be hard work and as such it is a long way down the list of things to add, but maybe one day...

combine with other proyects

but maybe you can combine it with portable WinSCP or portable putty.

An

interesting point, I'll have a look.

Toucan to FTP/SFTP Backup

This would be an awesome feature & I know a lot of people would be thrilled to have it. Now I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be worth every bit of it. It's already got over 1/2 a million hits, think about how many more hits it would get if it had ftp support. PLEASE.

An auto backup every XX

An auto backup every XX minutes/hours would be great as well. I just wanna use it to backup all my computer stuff; zip it and ftp them online. I hope the ftp thing will be implemented one day soon Smiling

I

think the Windows Task Scheduler might be able to help with you first request, as for FTP you could use FileZilla, run from a Script, perhaps this page will help you: http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Command-line_arguments
