FireFox - Bookmarks

Submitted by ElmoF on August 13, 2007 - 12:17pm

I downloaded the portable version of FF so I could use the bookmarks I already have for FF on my home computer. The million dollar question is... how do I get the bookmarks from my home computer's FF to the portable?
When I click on import, it only shows IE (which I rarely use).
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Copy and Past

Copy and past the bookmarks.html file from your local machine to:

x:\path\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\

If you have a need to keep

If you have a need to keep your bookmarks in sync between multiple machines, also take a look at two Firefox addins, Google Bookmarks for Firefox and Foxmarks.

Import bookmarks from file

Using the bookmark manager, you should be able to import bookmarks from a file, which you can then point to the bookmarks.htm of the desktop version of Firefox.
