I was wondering if the PortableApps.com Installer was going to be released with the exceptions for freeware/non-gpl-opensource programs soon. In the latest version of Thunderbird Portable it still only has the exception for PA apps. If not might it be possible for me to get permission to use it with Xenon and keep the MIT License?

It's part of the upcoming PortableApps.com Format specification and I want to get it to a certain point before putting the exceptions into place for non-GPLed apps. It will only be usable if your app is in PortableApps.com Format, basically, and since the spec isn't fully published yet, the exceptions can't be made yet.
I'll be publishing an initial spec this week.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
