Toucan - The Future

In the next few posts I am going to lay out the future of Toucan, in this post I am going to give a broad overview to my plans for the future. Currently development of Toucan can be summarised roughly by this diagram:

Toucan 1.x Series
1.1->1.2 (Current)-->1.2.x (Planned)->1.3(Provisional)

Toucan 2.0 Series
2.0 (Planned)

Basically we are currently on the 1.2 series. The 2.0 series involves a complete interface rewrite (which will be discussed in a future posting) and will be based off the most recent version of Toucan avalible when the new interface is finished and the backend needs to be written. Currently the plan is to base 2.0 off of version 1.2.1 In my next two posts I will provide more details about the 1.2.x series and the 2.0 series.
