Extracting WinZip Files

marcus_hirsch - October 15, 2007 - 12:48pm

Hello! I am having problems with extracting compressed files made (by myslef) with WinZip version 11. I get the "Unsupported compression method..." message. What am I doing wrong?

Well,

which compression method did you use for compression in 7zip?

I don't think LMZA is supported in winzip.

Hey,

I actually solved my own opps. What happened is that I made a compressed file with WinZip, and tried to open it with 7zip. However I went to the 7zip home page and out that 7zip does not support AES. So, I think I'm good to go now. Thanks.

Marcus

7zip

Isn't there a release candidate or beta of 7zip that supports AES? Or is it not compatible with WinZip's implementation? Might be good to know...
