PStart problem - Error when trying to access "settings"

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I just installed PStart on a Sandisk Cruzer micro.
The only other app currently installed is Truecrypt.
I have an autorun file that, upon double-clicking the icon for the flash drive, causes a prompt to either run Truecrypt or open a folder
My system is WinXP sp2 with admin privilges.

PStart runs just fine.
However, whenever I try to access the "settings" menu, I get the following error:

Error reading HotKeyModifierComboBox.Items.Strings: Access violation at address 004327AC in module 'PStart.exe'. Write of address 0000014C.

Any and all help appreciated.
