Ideas?

Any ideas for portable apps? I am always at a loss for ideas, and I need something to program.

You might help me to convert

You might help me to convert my launchers for MiKTeX, LyX and so on from AutoIt to NSIS, because I still do not understand this skript language.

I like webdesign, especially with some portable apps

You did not understand

I just asked you about some help with NSIS, because I programmed my launchers with AutoIt (it's similar to Java or C++). I do not understand with stupid NSIS skript language.

Actually AutoIt is more like

Actually AutoIt is more like Visual Basic. NSIS is IMO not the best language for anything really.

But

It at least makes a preyy thorough install system, and it's the best language for shell patches, etc. And the fact the it can do so much more than installers is amazing.

Yeah

I knew it from the normal installers and was really amazed when I saw what John does with it. And now I can do it, too Wink

what

about password protection for PDrives?

Not encription/decription but a simple secretary/partner/colleague proof...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

Skinnable PStart

How about a skinned version/mod of PStart?
With support for a custom tray icon?

That would be sweet

I'd just love to have it look like this Visual Style

(There's a open-source version called ASuite, but It has too many extra gadgets, and plus, I don't like the way it clutters up the root of my drive with resource folders. Also, it's slower than PStart.)

sorry but i think u have a

sorry but i think u have a misstatement but ASuite is not slower than PStart. I just got PStart and it takes forever to load even tho it's on my HDD and not my flash drive which should be slower. ASuite runs good as far as i am concerned. But lets not compare (even tho i just did) i am sure they all have their cons and pros.

Ahem.

As you have demonstrated so well, everyone has their opinion on things.
As it turns out, I like PStart more, because it works better for me, and it is less bloated with extra settings which I don't use (than ASuite).

Also, just because ASuite runs faster than PStart on your computer does not mean that it runs faster on everyone else's computer as well.

In the future, please refrain from calling people out on statements that they make, unless it is directed towards you.

Please Make TiLP Portable

C++ version of PAM

you could pick up the C++ version of PAM https://portableapps.com/node/5968 I think portabledev has forgotten it. I feel like the C++ version could do more...
