Boot from usb

Hello.
Is it possible to boot from usb pendrive and start clamav antivirus or other, to check computers ?
My computers can boot from usb device.

In afirmative case how do i make all step by step ?

..PC's you can set the bios to boot from a usb flash drive. The problem is ClamWin is a Windows program. If you shortcut Windows from booting what operating system would ClamWin run on?

Most of the time when a usb flash drive is used to boot an alternate OS is used like Linux.
