OpenOffice.org Portable

If to take the regular version of OOo one can install more than one language packs.
Thanks to the extensions concept of OOo.
After that it is possible to switch the gui between localizations supported by these language packs. Application restart is necessary.
Will this work also with OOo Portable?

That's what I see in the bullets menu. When exporting to PDF bullets are shown as squares, even if they appear differently in Writer. Even the simple ones like:

3.1 portable seems to work fine here. edit: works fine in 3.2.0 non-portable as well.

Have installed MojoPac and Portable Apps 1.6 on a 16GB USB thumb drive and use it on a Windows XP Pro machine.
MojoPac launches fine and Portable Apps Suite launches OK. I can launch all portable apps in Portable Apps suite except all Open Office Portable programmes. These programmes will also not launch from their icons in the Open Office Portable directory in Program Files on the USB thumb drive.
I have deactivated my firewall to no avail and reinstalled the Portable Apps Suite without solving the problem.

when downloaded direct from Portable Apps.com or from CNet Downloads ( latter virus and malware checked ). When installed onto USB, McAfee quarantines gdiplus.dll in the APP/OPENOFFICE/PROGRAM/ folder as the offending executable. Notes: program installed from XP Intel dual core machine with latest MS & McAfee updates onto Kingston 4gb USB, detected using McAfee heurisitic analysis option. A squared free and Malwarebytes AntiMalware detected nothing even with heuristic option.

I installed OpenOffice Suite 3.2 and found that the plus sign as in "a + b" is not shown correctly, but replaced by a square. This was not the case for Version 3.0. I assume it is a bug in the fonts.

BTW. The < and > are also replaced by squares whereas the <> is correctly shown as the NOT-EQUAL sign.

We use OO portable for a long time in our office. Since OO 3.1.1 we have a problem.

We use OO portable on the PC an have an central workspace an template folder on the server. After installing OO 3.1.1 - 3.2 we change the path varaibles for workspace and document templates. After closing OO3.2 an restart the software all path changings lost! And the path options was reseted on the basic pathes.

Today i try the new OO 3.2 portable, the problem is the same, after resart all changins lost!

Please portablize the Class Folder/Archive settings on each OOP startup.

I understand the launcher is designed to find Java either on the host machine or in one of two standard folders within the PortableApps structure. That works great, but it also blanks the Class Folder/Archive settings in the process, which breaks features in Base associated with client-server database access through Base and OpenOffice data sources.

Specifically, it breaks OpenOffice access to Java classes in 'javasettings_Windows_x86.xml' ...

how come its not available in Swedish yet?
there is Swedish version of open office 3 and i have seen Swedish language files here
hope this can be made available

Just installed OOo 3.2 Portable Spanish and the characters remind me of trigonometry !
Has there been a mix-up between languages ?
When is this going to be fixed ?
