Sunbird Portable

Hey all,

I love this app, it's very useful to be able to take my calendar around with me! However, I'm a bit concerned, if I was to lose my memory key and someone found it, they would have access to all my appointments! So is there any way to password-protect a calendar? There is something about master passwords in the options menu but I can't figure it out.

Can anyone help?

Hello, thanks a lot to developers of the Sunbird Portable. And i just wonder, is it possible to add a feature to sunbird to take notes. Because you know, we use the callender for appointments. And i think there is also a need for taking notes after the appointment takes place.

So i would be appreciated if it is possible.

Other than the stated size difference of the apps has anyone got any comments on a comparison of the 2? Is it just the level of options?

I'm using Sunbird Portable on a USB stick. I also have the same application installed on my desktop PC. I normally copy my profile from the USB stick to the desktop application in order (a) to have a backup and (b) if for any reason I prefer to work from the desktop version.

However, I would prefer to have my profile kept on the D drive where only data are kept, as opposed to having it on the C drive which I try and limit to installed programs. Is there a setting in Sunbird portable to allow a different location for my profile when I run the portable application from my Desktop?

Hello everyone, I've recently had problems with my memory stick so I did a data and document backup to my hard drive. After purchasing a new memory stick I tried to transfer everything from the old stick to the new...no go.
I downloaded the new Portable Apps (including Sunbird 0.9). Everything went well except there are no events in Sunbird, I assumed that the last update from the old drive was bad, however, none of the backup files would restore the events (ten months worth).

Hello, all... I was having difficulties with retrieving my dataset after compressing my apps with AppsCompactor (stay away til they get it right?!?) so I reinstalled the apps (FireFox, Sunbird, et al)...

Well, it WAS looking good for a while there; FireFox Bookmarks, settings, etc. all loaded back in without incident... HOWEVER... I reinstalled Sunbird, ran it, and was faced with this:

I want to use 2 profiles with Sunbird Portable. When i run "S:\PortableApps\SunbirdPortable\App\sunbird -p", it create profiles in "C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Mozilla\Sunbird\Profiles". How can i manage profiles ? How can i run sunbird with these profiles ? There is nothing about that in the faq. Thanks.

It explains some dificulty I had to configure it to pt-BR. It's kind of a translation of your languages page for Sunbird, just a little bit more detailed. I used the search system in your site, but did not found anything like this in portuguese. Thank you!

When i create new event from program i choose no reminder in Reminder: option

But program save it into reminder 1 hour before.

I change it to no reminder but program save it into 1 hour before again.

I change it to 5 minute but program save it into 1 hour before again.....

PS. WinXP sp2 (Original) use on my harddisk and i sync data with google calendar. (if i create on google calendar with no reminder in program can sync to no reminder)
