FileZilla PortableRemoving old version from Portable Apps MenuSubmitted by AvatharV on November 14, 2009 - 7:41pm
I had an old version of Filezilla 3.0.11.1 installed on my thumb drive and when I installed version 3.2.6.1, it made a separate entry. Every other program just updated the existing install, but this upgrade left me with 2 Filezilla menu entry. The old may not even be installed anymore, but how do I remove the duplicate entry. I don't want to muck around where I don't know what I am doing, so I look to the experts. Thanks. ( categories: )
Version 3.3Submitted by ElSid on November 9, 2009 - 1:51pm
Due to the existing bugs, I was waiting for the new update (2009-11-09 - FileZilla Client 3.3.0 released) which recently came out. Any ideas if this fixes the on going bugs in the portable version? ( categories: )
[BUG] Exiting FileZillaPortableSubmitted by PAppSeeker on October 18, 2009 - 2:56pm
When exitting FileZillaPortable 3.2.8.1 (and older versions) it does not shut down properly (keeps running as it can be seen in the Task Manager), which prevents the user from "securely removing the device", unless the process is manually terminated via the Task Manager or similar programs. Portable only bug 3.2.3.1: Renaming of base FileZillaPortable foldername causes errorsSubmitted by Trahloc on April 2, 2009 - 3:08am
I believe this bug is purely with the portable version not the normal filezilla 3.2.3.1. When initially installed the directory name is INSTALL_PATH\FileZillaPortable and everything appears to work fine. If you rename FileZillaPortable to something even as simple as FileZillaPortable2 the program will not connect to ftp sites. If a dns is used to connect to the ftp site you get this error: ( categories: )
Filezilla add-onSubmitted by kermik on March 31, 2009 - 4:23am
I am trying to find an add-on that gives me the current version number of PortableFilezilla in the title bar - like I can in PortableFirefox and PortableThunderbird. Add-ons for PortableFilezilla are hard to find, so any help would be appreciated. ( categories: )
Optimize the queue handlingSubmitted by MrD on February 16, 2009 - 6:45am
I really like FileZilla for its small size, portability and ease to use. But a lot of times I'm forced to abandon it because of it's poor queue handling. ( categories: )
Large files will get corruptedSubmitted by emesma on February 12, 2009 - 12:57pm
I don't know if this issue is caused by the portable version but it's been twice that happens to me. I am using version V3.2.0, windows XP SP3. I downloaded two large files from different sites. One is near 293 Mb and the other 1.5 Gb. In both cases, filezilla didn't stop downloading the files, it simple kept downloading the files so I had to cancel the process as they were becoming too large, almost as twice as their original size, the advance percentage was greater than 100%. Under normal circumstances, when do we see updates to portable when there is an update from the developer? ( categories: )
