winLight is a windows replacement for spotlight on mac.

Its a fast way to instantly search your computer.

Just install it into the portable apps folder.

Launch winlight.exe

It will make a trayicon.

Click the icon and type in your search and hit enter.

Theres not much to it yet. soon there will be gui to edit the ini file.

note:exit closes window.

Portable Skype. A how to, posting the actual thing would be illigal

Submitted by mczack26 on July 1, 2007 - 2:33pm

To start with you need the skype exe file. You can get this from the skype folder in your program files (you only need that file not the other ones.)
Now we need somthing that will help that run

Open notepad or wordpad etc and copy this into a file

@echo off
set APPDATA=%~dp0Application Data
if not exist "%~dp0Application Data" mkdir "%~dp0Application Data"
set USERPROFILE=%~dp0
set ALLUSERSPROFILE=%~dp0
echo Starting Skype...
start %~dp0skype.exe

Now save it as skype.ini And put the exe and the ini in a new folder with a useful name and walla you have skype

OK - Another menu to critique

Submitted by ozbodd on July 1, 2007 - 12:32pm

I wanted a menu with categories for my millions of apps and a simple interface for WOS (Web on a stick) - This is based on the excellent work done by John and Netdroid9

This menu filters apps into categories based on their folder names in particular the 4 character code you append to their names.

Audio Menu - Apps within folders appended with _aud
Video Menu - Apps within folders appended with _ani
Games Menu - Apps within folders appended with _gam
Graphics menu - Apps within folders appended with _gra
Office menu - Apps within folders appended with _off

I figured the best way for me to learn Delphi was to start from scratch.
Although I did borrow John's code for the drive space slider calculations.
Here's a preview of my new menu. SmithTechPortableMenu
Things that work so far..
Loads background and icons from theme folder specified in xml settings file.
Loads apps and paths from xml settings file.
Saves settings from options window to xml settings file(not all options set up yet).
Right click tray icon menu (options & exit)

USB Icon Randomizer

Submitted by Keviin_ on June 30, 2007 - 7:54am

i made this program to change the icon for your usb everytime you plug it in. so you put a whole bunch of icons for you usb in one folder and it'll automatically shuffle through every time this program is ran.

just configure the USBIR.ini file. you don't hav to make PAM autorun this. because when you configured the USBIR.ini file you are required to type in the progrma to autorun. this little program will automatically launch itself and the program u set to autorun. like for example PAM. dump the content of the zip to the root of your USB
