Go to https://portableapps.com/tracker, then click on my recent posts. There are 25 posts per page, so count how many pages (click on last and see what number it is) - this is my 76th so far...
Bet Ryan has a few more - I think he is every post at some point...
Does anybody have any experience with (or heard anything about) these? I was considering picking one up as buy.com has a very good sale going on right now (120GB/$83). All the reviews i've found so far are very mixed.
Interesting article.
I just had a funny thought.
I guess some of the people that ask questions here that have been answered many, many, many times before like using the worlds slowest search engine.
PortableApps.com Search Engine: Just post your question then wait a few minutes, or maybe a few days. Or if your question is really silly, not understood or just not interesting then it might not get answered. Then one of our many "servers" (Ryan, Steve, John H, Bahamut, etc...) will answer your question.
I guess a lot of these people just like to wait for their results for a while. I am too impatient.
Does anyone konw how to make a "drop-up" menu for a website using either css or java? ie. the submenus hover above the title menus insted of below. I've searched for over an hour but no luck.
Thanks
does anyone know how to write an .exe file? I want to make them but am not sure how...:)
I'm 21 from England, look like this http://rich.bradshaw.googlepages.com/DSCF0774a.jpg, and am at university studying Maths and Physics. I have recently got engaged to my girlfriend, am vegetarian and play guitar. I enjoy music by Tool, Incubus, The Shins and Snow Patrol.
How about you? Feel like a recognise a lot of names on here but can't put a face to any of them!
I just came across some portable CD burning software called DeepBurner Portable. It's based on the free version of Deep Burner, which burns data, audio and ISO images. It takes up only 7.5MB of disk space and works extremely well. It's closed-source, though. This is a real find!
You can download DeepBurner Portable here:

I am taking down PortaSoft, since I'm probably the only one left with FTP access (besides Steve), and transferring all the apps to my site.
Also, I will be contacting David and asking him to take the account offline and redirect the domain to mine.
Please note: This is not something I want to do, but the site is no longer alive
(Side-note: I was crying while writing this post)
Any comments/suggestions/people-willing-to-help?
On this note, are there any portable app developers out there looking for hosting and/or a permenant home for their apps? If so, contact me at cubegames@gmail.com
