PortableApps.com PlatformPortableApps.com Menu, Backup and Platform/Suite installer. SSL protocol problemSubmitted by jassieone on November 20, 2009 - 7:14pm
Downloaded Portableapps Suite early this week. Everything worked just fine. I left it a couple of days and when I tried again to use Mozilla a security message appeared and I found that I couldn't access sites with SSL encryption. I have restarted, removed excess baggage from my flash drive, re-downloaded PA Suite - to no avail. Any clues? ( categories: )
Installer 1.0 and EULA.txtSubmitted by prapper on November 20, 2009 - 8:41am
If I include an 'EULA.txt' in 'Other\Source', when the app is installed (and before first run) I'm getting 'Data\PortableApps.comInstaller\license.ini' which contains [PortableApps.comInstaller] EULAVersion=1 Is this the expected behaviour? ( categories: )
[Feature Request] Custom directory in backupSubmitted by dzjepp on November 20, 2009 - 1:16am
Hey, I run PA from my external hard drive. I'd like to make a complete backup of my PA data with the backup tool, but that will also backup 500gb+ from the entire drive. Would be nice if I could point to a custom folder and make a complete PA backup that way. Thank you ( categories: )

Change paths to "Music", "Pictures" and "Videos" folders?Submitted by nottRobin on November 14, 2009 - 11:57pm
Hi. Would it be possible, in a future release of PortableApps.com platform, to add an option into the PortableAppsMenu.ini file to specify where the "Music" etc links in the menu should point? Because, I don't like having "Music" and "Videos" inside my "Documents" folder. I'd rather have them side by side in the root of the drive - similar to how Windows Vista and 7 do it. So it would be really useful for me if I could specify the paths to these folders. Cheers, ( categories: )
installing alternate applications on the platformSubmitted by darkness2fall on November 14, 2009 - 3:01am
I have been installing non portable apps to be operated on flash drives for over a year. so using what i already know,i installed video games, browsers, and even citrix wire! So after i installed them, the platform automatically places icons for the new apps installed into the platform memory. From the platform, you can access and operate them like you can with the other apps. No need to creat custom short cuts or anything because the platform does it for you. How does one go about installing alternate apps? ( categories: )
Safely Removing USB StickSubmitted by port_user on November 12, 2009 - 4:55pm
Just installed. Great idea. However, I cannot remove the memory stick. It's constantly in use even after all portable applications are closed. The process portappl remains active (in task manager). When I finally killed the process and tried to close the stick, OS crashed. Any suggestions on removing the USB? Thanks. ( categories: )
Wallpaper Changer botches Slideshow in Win7![]() Submitted by NathanJ79 on November 10, 2009 - 10:33pm
Or at least, I think it does... Whenever I put in my flash drive, it changes to my portable wallpaper, and whenever I go back, it's stuck on the wallpaper it was on when the PortableApps.com platform took over. It's the only solution I can think of. That, or Windows 7 forgets you have a slideshow set up and randomly stops on one. But then I go into the settings, and it doesn't say I have a slideshow set, just that I have the one it's on. ( categories: )

Hi there I installed a program, which listed itself 5 different times, so i was trying to find the correct one, and deleted the rest off the list by renaming them to "-" but i deleted the wrong one by mistake, so I was wondering how to add it back to the menu??? Anyone know how to do this? I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks ( categories: )
