My mouse will regularly stop working when I open the portableapps menu. I've tried the latest beta and even the GeekMenu alternatives but all behave the same. I can work all day with the USB drive in the port and the menu program running but it will only work a few times after the USB drive is inserted and after that, it will lock up the mouse every time I open the menu and - if I pull the plug for the mouse and reinsert - every time the menu closes.
So in short, I can insert the USB drive and start portableapps menu. I can then open and close the menu a few times (2 or 3.) After that, everytime I open the menu I am forced to pull the USB cable for the mouse and reinsert in order for the mouse to start working again.
I am running a Lenovo (IBM Thinkpad) T60 with windows XP sp2. The mouse is a Logitech MX 700.

Sounds like a hardware issue with either the laptop, drive or USB mouse. I'd suggest trying the drive without the mouse or with another mouse. Could just be that the USB ports aren't providing enough power.

Thanks - I upgraded the mouse drivers, various laptop drivers - even BIOS without luck.
The laptop is plugged into a docking station (port replication.) If I unplug the mouse from the dock's USB and plug directly into the laptop USB port all works well.
Perhaps it is a power issue but the dock is powered, that's where the laptop gets its power.
I'd appreciate hearing other ideas to help get around this issue. unplugging and re-plugging the mouse each day defeats part of the purpose of the dock.
