Release notes
Release 2.0 completes the evolution PeaZip user interface sustained in 1.* series, introducing many fixes and improvements, and set the new starting point for UI of 2.* series.
UI development was expecially focused in enhancing usability of the application under many different aspect: improved context menus, more keyoboard shortcuts, smarter default behaviours etc...
Lpaq family support was extended to lpaq8; it was also added support for using arbitrary utilities for archiving and extraction ("custom" format) and it was created an additional tab allowing to import the job defined in the GUI as a command line, in order to freely modify, fine-tune, save or launch it, without modifying the GUI frontend's job definition.

I actually didn't create this page, the owner of this website did. I do have edit privileges of the page, but I'm not sure how the changelog should be displayed.

@John
Should I just post the text of the changelog, or should we provide a link to it somewhere?

We generally link to it in that () where it says there was none. I added them.

It looks like I missed the release notes because they weren't in one of the standard places. They were missing from the release notes section attached to the release on SourceForge. And the release notes page on the PeaZip website apparently only points to OLD release notes, which is kinda unique.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hi, the changelog of latest release of PeaZip is on the bottom of index page, http://peazip.sourceforge.net/
From this version, in release's Changelog and Notes fields on SourceForge there will be only the link to this page, so in case of updates and corrections I'll not risk to forget and to leave orphaned versions of the changelog.

Instead, the "changelog" page http://peazip.sourceforge.net/changelog.html contains the history of previous version's changelogs.

I want to try out Pea Zip, but I really like 7-Zip. Can somebody explain the differences between these 2 apps. You know, compatable file formats, fetures, ect.
