PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades from Thunderbird Portable 1.5 by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all your email and settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

New In This Release

In addition to the bundled copy of Mozilla Thunderbird being updated to 2.0.0.5, the launcher has been improved to handle a registry key on PCs without Thunderbird installed locally. The installer has also been improved.

John,

This time I did an install in place,
directly over my existing TBP.

Went without a hitch.

I didn't even know ThunderBird was updated until I saw it here.

Way to go John.

TB creates a registry key on the local PC. The launcher now properly cleans it up.

This is why I don't want to put technical details in announcements. I'll leave them off future ones and only provide details at SourceForge in the release notes and in the code in the future.

Thanks for the hard work!

Leaves nothing.
Thanks for the fast update.
