Hey Folks,
Do you know any good open source app to replace "any dvd", in other words, a good app to remove automatically the CSS copy protection and RPC region codes ?
Rgs.
Hi, Can you tell me a bit more about Thinstall? All I know is that is utilizers its virtual OS. As it does not create any registry links or install any apps on the client PC, does that mean that it is portable?
I am interested in trying out Linux within Windows XP SP2.
I know there are a few very good Linux geeks here
I have 3 machined I use regularly. I am not really concerned about leaving files on the host PC. Two of the machines are my personal ones and the third is a work PC that they do not care what I do with.
I would like it to be portable of some sort though.
DVD might be an option.
CD definitely.
USB up to CD size might work.
I want to be able to access my files if I need to. I have already downloaded and tried Knoppix, but I could only burn files to a CD or DVD.
I just typed the PortableApps.com address and made a mistake and came out here.
Funny, isn't it?
2 questions:
Note: I have searched on teh G00g1ez (sic) but couldn't find anything.

Edit: I have removed the link since it's no longer necessary.
Thanks for any info.
Full disclosure
The link above references an app of mine. I'm REALLY only interested in the visual style, so please, no posts about anything but the VS, or I'll probably get my hands slapped again. But I REALLY want that VS, so I thought it'd be worth the risk.
Edit
In the case of:

...being continued on:

...how does one reply to someone on the discontinued thread (e.g. thread 175)?
In case someone thinks, "um, what the hell would you do that for?"
I wanted to reply to:

The first link that, the author (otbsupport) posts (http://www.robloach.net/projects/portableskype) is invalid (404), so I was going to reply with this link:
I have on my drive Volumouse by NirSoft which is freeware. I also have Billy by Sheep Friends. I'm trying to make a launcher that will run Volumouse, then Billy. When I close Billy, Volumouse should close as well. The problem comes when I try to eject my device. Since Volumouse uses a dll, I have to wait about 3 minutes for Windows to let go of the dll file and eject it safely.
