Hello all,
What are your favorite brand(s) of flash drives? What's worked very well for you, and for what purposes are you using them?
I've purchased a few flash drives in the past few months. Most of them I'm using for backing up important files and data from both of my computers. I've got my PortableApps suite running on a PQI 1 GB flash drive. I really like it so far. I am just curious about what flash drives have worked well for you. Thanks!
Spamato, www.spamato.org, is a good spam filter for thunderbird. Uses Java - but if you were on a machine without Java, you'd still have mail, and you could wait for a java-able machine for the spam filtering. This would be very very helpful, for me thunderbird without spamato is really limping...

I've been taking a lot from this site and it's users. Now it's time for me to give whatever I can to the community. First some info about this. I use Billy to play my music, and the playlist that it creates is very simple, it's just the path to my files. But since the drive letter changes from computer to computer, I created this vbs script. Here's what it does:
checks the first line of my playlist, splits the line, and reads the drive letter from it. Then checks the drive letter of the usb, if they don't match then it will replace the old drive letter with the new one. So here it is:
Hey all, I have a question looking for your PERSONAL opinion.
My question is, what's the most practical, efficient, easy to use, and simplistic Linux distribution for someone who as never used Linux before, but spends a lot of time on the computer.
I was hoping to try out a distribution of Linux, maybe starting with something along the lines of windows display with a desktop, and some kind of icons, etc.
When I don't close a tag in a post...
EDIT: It's a problem only with preview. To reproduce it, just leave unclosed tag in reply and click preview.
Afternoon all - I have an odd one, I seem to have no end of trouble downloading sourceforge files. I am using Flashget to manage my downloads. Everything appears to be good except when the file appears as a Php file, the download manager does a ??? and downloads an 18kb file. What's the beef?

Hello, I am new to the tec stuff. I have just bought a dell D600 laptop from a freind. It is 2GHz, has two 256mb cards in it. One USB, Wireless card, CD writer, 20G memory, programs loaded and a one hour battery. I gave him £200. Is it possible to take one of the 256mb cards out and put 512mb in it so it will become 750mb. If so how much will it cost and will it make a difference in the speed.

Anyone know how to check what firmware my Sandisk U3 Titanium has now that I've removed the U3 software?
