PortableApps.com Platform

To start of, my OS is win8.1
I have never had this problem before with the Portable Apps platform.
I've been using v11 without any problem up until recently, then it gave me an error message saying:

Class not registered, ClassID:
{56FDF344-FD6D-11D0-958A-006097C9A090}.

Clicking that makes it go away and Portable Apps is still just there.
But reloading the app icons, looking for new apps to install or checking for updates makes it freeze up indefinitely (and I mean indefinitely because I left it for 3 hours with no results).

When I run app, the launcher is minimized always.

I have few portable apps which are not available in PortableApps.com's .paf.exe format, and I'd like to be able to launch them from PortableApps.com Platform's menu.

yesterday I downloaded and installed the platform v12.0.5 build 7601. It's running on Win7 64 bit.

I have installed two applications 7zip and Synkron. Synkron got the option "Start Automatically" ticked. When I start my computer the platform starts but Synkron doesn't. If I quit the platform and start it manually Synkron starts. Is that a bug or I have to do something to have Synkron start automatically?

Q2) is there any way so the Platform and be running have no icon in task bar?

The platform updater gets a 404 error trying to download the latest version of Chrome Beta from SF; same problem trying to download directly from the Chrome Portable page. It's asking for .52 but the file name on SF is .42. TIA for fixing it!

ETA: [Fixed] Someone cured it but didn't reply & I didn't want to leave it out there looking open still!

I downloaded the platform (12.0.5) but when I went tp oprn the apps, it was empty. I also got an error saying the program couldn't connect with portableApps.com to get my apps. I did this WHILE connected to the download site. WTF! What am I doing wrong? I found another usb drive with PA on it and when I opened it, I got the same message. I KNOW I have apps and data on it but can't get at it. What am I doing wrong?

I've created an online installer containing this download section shown at the bottom.

Unfortunately I'm behind a firewall and so have to use a proxy. PortableApps is configured properly and can successfully download new applications.

But my Installer, created with PortablApps.com Installer 3.0.15 is not able to download.

Hey there, don't know where you really want this, but I had Pchat open not sure of version, not the newest, you will see why, for 24 hrs I was waiting on a person to show up and give me an answer on a game irc.
