it would be good for people who use windows live (msn) to check their emails on that. it is free and it is by microsoft here is the link http://download.live.com/wlmail?lc=2057
to run application as portable application you just need to use ceedo or similar application.
like i write on other topic as a reply:"there is some portable applications (like ceedo),that can cause almost any windows application to run as a portable application by using windows emulator, but it may not be freeware.
some of them are Application Menus."
I would love to have Musicmatch Jukebox portable. Its one of those wonderful music players that has a good interface and had some very good functions like super tagging, etc.
Am not sure the software restriction policy is valid for Musicmatch now. Because it was bought by Yahoo and they stopped it completely and ruined many of us. You can just make a portable version of a basic one so that if people who have real licenses can use it as a full version.
Looking for reply soon.
Thanks in advance.
Is there any way we can get this app packaged to go with PA? I use this all the time, and it would be really handy.
Here's a nice little freeware app that ought to get added http://sites.google.com/site/glintutility/

Is there a chance of getting a portable disk partitioning or disk management app? There is a simple free program called SwissKnife from CompuApps, not sure how easy it might be to make it portable though. There are probably other apps out there too. Would this be not possible due to administration rights being necessary? Thanks dudes! You're the best!

Hi,
Mods, I don't know if this should be here or in the OpenOffice Portable Support section or in the General Discussion section, I decided to leave it to your decision to move it or keep it here.
My kid's school requested a USB memory stick to save some homework, they are all windows (2000, 98, and xp) and I decided that this is a good opportunity to introduce them to "my" open source world. So I'm going to give away some cheap 4Gb pendrives with PortableApps.com preinstaled on it as a present to some of my kid's closest school friends.
So, ... I'm a HUGE fan of PortableApps.com but, there is one thing that I really would like to see.
When I plug my USB in, PA Menu launches automatically but then it stops there. I run Pidgin, Thunderbird, An anti-virus program, and usually YahElite right away. My question is:
Is there an .exe program that if I click on it after setting my options, will auto launch several of the programs from my PA USB?
Or even better, is there a way to make programs on my PA USB launch at the same time as my PA Menu does??
This'd come in EXTREMELY handy for "on the fly" use.
