You just don't stop!

Truly amazing sir.

Edit: However a launcher is always more fun...

Whoo, md5 sum is correct for this one, would have been quite embarrassing if it wasn't. Blum

I like this program and it is handy because you (and people who ask) can test whether a download is corrupt or not.
EDIT
And maybe you could improve the logo.
It is very pixelated.

Does John to custom installs to? Shock Blum

Umm, I don't know whether you were kidding, but Simeon was just suggesting John improve the image if it's not too hard and if he has a chance just for a better look on the app page overall. He just wants to make Portable Apps the best it can be, so he made a suggestion.

I understand.

Second half was kidding but you were upset someone was asking John, the hardest worker we know to "fix the logo".

I understand too Simeon! Biggrin

I do know, that a logo isn't that important to spend too much time on it, but lots of people expect good /clear pics.

I just want the best for this site (as some of you may have noticed...;)).
And I use this, to express my deep respect for John T. Haller who, despite the demanding work on and with this site, takes the time to help a friend in the hospital who really needs John more than we do.

There isn't one. That's the highest rez version of it there is. I upped it as little as I could to get it to still fit with the layouts of the pages. I left it pixelated rather than using a filter resize as the filter resize looked worse.

I think it's a settings or advanced settings or options icon from an open source set somewhere, but I can't find it. If someone can, please let me know.

I so need some sleep.

You're looking for the icon set? I think I know where it is, but as my mother always tells me.

Patrick, get off the computer and go to sleep right now!

In this case Patrick will equal John.

Edit: Well, I see your usb icon, and I see an orange wrench, and a blue screwdriver, but I'm not seeing them together.

Maybe someone made a mod somewhere with them.

if(Patrick==John) {
    world = crazy;
}

Or, my personal favourite:

if(John==bear) {
    poke(John);
}
void poke(new Bear) {
    while(1==1) {
        echo 'Where's my splash? Check your emails';
    }
}

Biggrin

P.S. I understand you are busy John and I'm not asking, just poking fun at myself. Wink

... but I guess I cannot figure out why this was posted as a portable app. There are plenty of better .exe that do a lot more than just MD5 lying around. What makes this version so special?

It's simple and dead easy to use. Most of the other hashing apps have poor interfaces or are designed for hashing lots and lots of files. Or command line. None of which are what was being looked for.

But, it's not open source, so it's not an option.
