Features
Here are just a few ways you can use this software:
- You can use it to create demonstration videos for any software program
- Or how about creating a set of videos answering your most frequently asked questions?
- You can create video tutorials for school or college class
- You can use it to record a recurring problem with your computer so you can show technical support people
- You can use it to create video-based information products you can sell
- You can even use it to record new tricks and techniques you discover on your favourite software program, before you forget them
PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format
CamStudio Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Thanks for CamStudio
Thanks for CamStudio portable! The CamStudio website offers the download of version 2.6 (some beta?) Anyway, I hope they will eventually release a final version (non-Beta).
Thanks
John.
Audio Works!!!
I have never managed to get the audio working for CamStudio, either the portable version or the normal one. This version seems to work ok, just don't go messing with the settings. I did and it stopped working, so I had to reinstall and it works. Turning up the recording level is ok but messing with the recording line messed things up.
Camstudio
I've always had problems as well, pixelated video, jerky playback, etc.
But I've recently discovered CSHelper, an add-on for Firefox.
It incorporates Camstudio, I believe, and also needs the Video Download Helper add-on.
However, it has been working very well so far, extremely pleased with it.
