logoGoogle Chrome Portable 29.0.1547.22 Beta has been released. Google Chrome Portable is a web browser that runs web pages and applications with lightning speed. It's designed to be simple and stylish. This release updates Google Chrome to the latest beta version, allowing you to test the upcoming release without impacting your local or portable stable install. The latest Stable and Dev builds are also available. Point versions of this beta version will be pushed via the Platform but not announced on the homepage or RSS feed. It's packaged as a portable app, so you can take your browsing experience with you and it's in Format so it can easily integrate with the Platform. It's partially open source freeware for personal and business use.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store (Advanced Apps enabled) in the Platform.

Google Chrome Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

I just updated to the most current and now Chrome is just stuck trying to load. I know it is the update because I ran another copy of the older version on the same computer and it worked perfectly.

As its a beta, it will have some issues. You may need to try a fresh install.
