Hi , I downloaded the latest Stable version of chrome portable apps file .
it wrongly downloading the file . the file coded to download in portable apps installer is a BETA(29.0.1547.57 beta) file having md5sum of ebfde44a5a91f58ad54ebd6b7886f458

download the portable apps instller for latest chrome 29.0.1547.57 stable

right click and extract it with 7zip then go to GoogleChromePortable_29.0.1547.57_online.paf\$_OUTDIR\AppInfo\ and open installer.ini with text editor ..
see the md5 and google chrome installer link .. its the BETA version releases on AUG 16 ..

for confirmation also download the beta version portable apps installer ,
reverse engineer it and see the installer.ini file ..

both Stable and Beta version is same file and same MD5 sum ..

Beta version files are right files .. but stable is not ..

That's the way Google Chrome works. That is the actual file served by the official Google Chrome Stable installer. I double-checked it myself. Google generally does NOT alter the installer file when moving it from Beta to Stable.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I tried to download the chrome app with my Chrome Laptop and Google says it does not support the product. My intentions are to be able to use offline products such as Open Office with my Chrome Laptop when I don't have internet capabilities and transfer back and forth between Google Apps.

What am I doing wrong and what is the fix?

We're sorry, but Chrome laptops can't run Windows software, which is what we have here. Or Linux/Mac apps, for that matter. They can only run Chrome 'apps'.
