Comments
Cannot Update Google Chrome
The update process starts and then I get a popup error message:
Download Error: SendRequest Error on file http://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/GoogleChromePortable_30.0....
Suggestions, please?
Blocked
Generally, this mean you are blocked from downloading. Not sure why you can't reach the SF download. But it's working just fine here via the updater in 12.0 Beta 2.
12.0 Beta 2
That is precisely what I'm running. Chrome is the only program which fails update. I picked up today's Sumatra update successfully in the same run which failed for Chrome.
If I download the Chrome manually and install it, will that perform as being effectively an update?
Thank you.
Yup
It works the same way.
Heh. Got blocked the same way.
Turns out the culprit is ZoneAlarm. Once I shut the pakhtash down, it updated/downloaded/installed successfully.
