I cannot update SQLite DB Browser. Whenever I update my apps, I get this error:

Download Error: Redirection (301) on file
https://portableapps.com/redirect/?a=SQLiteDatabaseBrowserPortable&
t=http%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fsqlitebrowser%2Fsqlitebrowser%2Fre
leases%2Fdownload%2Fsqlb-3.2.0%2FSQLiteDatabaseBrowserPortable_3
.2.0_English.paf.exe

The installer itself is available: I have successfully downloaded it from Github, using the URL given as the value of the "t" parameter (and of course replacing "%3A" with ":" and "%2F" with "/").

I did also try typing the entire URL from the error message into my browser. Instead of redirecting to Github (which is the apparent intent), it redirected me to the PortableApps 404 page, where it stated the URL it was trying to reach was this:

https://portableapps.com/sqlitebrowser/sqlitebrowser/releases/download/s...

This usually indicates an issue with the Windows components used. Basically, try the full link in Internet Explorer on that PC. If it fails, you have your issue. Fix IE to ensure it's working since Windows' internet components (and all the things that depend on them like online installers, the PA.c updater/app store, etc) use the same configuration. If that's not it, please post complete details in the platform support forum including: Windows OS version, full path to the platform (where Start.exe is), platform version, any antivirus running, any software 'firewalls' running, etc.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

In Internet Explorer I can download the installer using the re-direct URL shown in the error alert, which I quoted exactly (including its line breaks) earlier. The URL given by vf2nsr is character-for-character identical to that in the error alert.

I should note that downloading the installer in my usual browser (Firefox) now works, instead of producing the other URL I quoted earlier.

However, using PortableApps Platform, Apps menu, Look for Updates, I still cannot download the installer. I get the same error alert (redirecting produced an HTTP 301).

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1.
Antivirus protection: Symantec Endpoint Protection, version 12.1.
No software firewall is in use.
My PortableApps is on an external USB hard disk, at G:\PA.c.
The PortableApps Platform is version 11.2.

SQLite Database Browser Portable is the only app I have update troubles with. Everything else has updated flawlessly, even in the same sessions that produced 301 errors for SqLite Database Browser Portable.

Perhaps I should just update from the downloaded installer. But I'd prefer using the updater.

Please post a new message in the Platform support forum with the details from above. We're still commenting on a news story here which is a bit silly since this doesn't even have anything to do with the app.

Include all the above details above as well as whether or not you can download apps like AIMP and LibreOffice (both of which use the redirector). And whether or not disabling Symantec Endpoint Protection (which includes a software firewall and does hook into both IE and Windows) has any affect.

As mentioned, it works just fine on my Windows 7 machine, so we need to determine what's interfering with it on yours.
