GPG Plugin Portable 2.0.27 has been released. GnuPG is a complete and free implementation of the OpenPGP standard allowing you to encrypt and sign your data and communications. It is an add-on used by other portable apps like Thunderbird Portable and SeaMonkey Portable. It's packaged in Format so it can easily integrate with the Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the Platform.

GnuPG allows to encrypt and sign your data and communication, features a versatile key management system as well as access modules for all kinds of public key directories. Both Thunderbird Portable and SeaMonkey Portable will utilize GPG Plugin Portable automatically from the CommonFiles directory. It can also be installed directly to ThunderbirdPortable\App\gpg and SeaMonkeyPortable\App\gpg

GPG Plugin Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Note that as an add-on, no GPG Plugin Portable icon will appear in the Platform's list of available apps.

This supersedes the older Thunderbird Portable and SeaMonkey Portable GPG plugins. The launchers of Thunderbird Portable 31.5.0 and SeaMonkey Portable 2.33 will automatically use this new plugin from the %PORTABLEAPPS%\CommonFiles\GPG directory if it is present. Be sure you're using the latest releases instead of allowing the contained app to update itself. GPG data will still be stored within SeaMonkeyPortable\Data\GPG and ThunderbirdPortable\Data\GPG. Unlike the older GPG plugins, this new plugin works with both Thunderbird Portable and SeaMonkey Portable and will be automatically kept up to date by the Platform.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Hey thanks for updating.
I noticed that after the use of gpg from thunderbird there still runs the gpg-agent.exe even after closing thunderbird. Is this the expected behaviour?
I installed gpg in ThunderbirdPortable/App/gpg and pointed via Enigmail settings to that location.
