Submitted by John T. Haller on June 1, 2021 - 2:23pm and The Document Foundation are proud to announce the release of LibreOffice Portable Still 7.0.6. LibreOffice Portable is a full-featured office suite -- including a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, drawing package and database -- packaged as a portable app, so you can take all your documents and office suite wherever you go. The Still version is the older branch of LibreOffice maintained with bug fixes. It's recommended that most users use LibreOffice Portable Fresh. And it's open source and completely free.

LibreOffice is packaged for portable use with permission and assistance from The Document Foundation

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the Platform with 'Advanced Apps' enabled.

LibreOffice Portable is a full-featured office suite that's compatible with Microsoft Office, Word Perfect, Lotus and other office applications. It's easy-to-use and feature-rich, performing nearly all of the functions you'd expect in an office suite, but at no cost.

LibreOffice Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in Format, so it automatically works with the Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

LibreOffice Portable is available for immediate download from the LibreOffice Portable homepage, Still section. Get it today!

Story Topic:

This is LibreOfficePortablePrevious_7.0.6, NOT LibreOfficePortable. I downloaded the linked file without noticing that it is not what it is said to be. Because of an "ini" file, renaming it did not work. I ended up restoring a backup to avoid having to change my shortcut and my file associations.

Thank you to all the crew at both Portableapps and Libreoffice.

It's LibreOffice Still. The previous version. It's named as such here and on the app homepage.
