Monero Portable has been released. Monero is a cryptocurrency focused on privacy. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

Features

ScreenshotMonero is the leading cryptocurrency focused on private and censorship-resistant transactions. The majority of existing cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, have transparent blockchains. Transactions can be verified and/or traced by anyone in the world. This means that the sending and receiving addresses of these transactions could potentially be linked to real-world identities. Monero, on the other hand, uses various privacy-enhancing technologies to ensure the anonymity of its users.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Monero Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

I had accidentally switched it to English instead of multilingual. It's fixed now. Sorry about that.

literally... app barely downloads maybe 2 gigs of the 50 gb blockchain (full not pruned) then says everything is synced, wont download further, wont start mining, restart wont fix it, deleting contents of blockchain folder didnt fix it... its a waste of time

I believe Monero is set to use a pruned blockchain by default for all installs. My local install did the same thing. I think you need to set a full download to mine. But I'm not as familiar with the client as the others and I've never mined with it.

it looks like antivirus decioded to go in and tamper with the files a bit without asking me first.. so maybe thats what caused the issues... will give it another try soon as unGodly slow wifi picks up the pace and starts pulling stuff down. seriously my area still has infrastructure from the 1940ish era because the old folks dont understand things age and break... you need to update the wires to use current day stuff.

I may explore doing a pruned download of the Monero blockchain weekly like I currently do for Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin on blockchains.download to help people get started faster. They're not used as much as I was expecting and it's a long time to compress it down, but I'm switching to a newer-to-me PC shortly that should give me a bit more time to do it on Mondays.
