First of all: Sorry for asking you to bother with old versions. I am looking for versions of AIMP Portable for Windows Vista and Windows XP. Indeed the current AIMP Portable version (5.02.2369) does not support Vista and XP anymore. So I would like to ask you (the PortableApps.com team) the favor of providing me (or the public) with a version that worked with Vista and a version that worked with XP.

According to https://www.aimp.ru/?do=download&os=windows&cat=old the last version supporting Vista, respectively XP, was:
- AIMP v5.00.2344 Release date: 09.11.2021 Windows Vista - Windows 11
- AIMP v3.60.1503 Release date: 26.09.2015 Windows XP - Windows 8.1

So AIMP Portable candidates that have been published once are:
- AIMP Portable - Version 5.0.2344, Released: 2021-11-15, probably last version supporting Vista
- AIMP Portable - Version 3.60.1503, Released: 2015-10-01, probably last version supporting XP

I would be very grateful if you could help me with my request.

Mike

There are security issues with older releases of (likely) all media players that allow malformed media files to run arbitrary code on the local machine. I'd highly recommend using VLC as it is still supported on both XP and Vista and up to date security wise. As there is a supported and secure portable alternative, I don't think I'd like to encourage use of the old insecure versions of AIMP.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thank you for this important information.

Is it about the following issue?

Aimp : Security vulnerabilities
2009-06-05: CVE-2009-1944 - Stack-based buffer overflow in AIMP 2.51 build 330 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an MP3 file with a long ID3 tag.

When did the author fix the bug? I.e. which one was the first AIMP Portable version you regarded as clean?
Unfortunately I could not find any hint on the author's change log page.
