For the month of November, PortableApps.com will have no ads. As many of you know, we had quite a few issues with our last ads provider. It resulted in accessibility issues, site slowdowns, breaking pages, etc. Behind the scenes, it also impacted digital certificate auto-renewals and some other minor bits. While the ad revenue was high initially, it declined as I turned off the most intrusive behaviors to wind up at the same lower level we were at before trying it.
I wanted to apologize for those impacted by the trial, particularly if it prevented you from getting access to or support for your favorite apps. This ad pause is both a breather for users and an experiment to see if donations see an uptick without any ads. I'll keep an eye on things and report back as we move ahead.
Best,
John

Leaving Disabled For Now In December
I'm going to leave them disabled a bit longer to check how things shake out as more apps are updated and the next platform is released.
nice / my help
thanx john,
my help on that is pushing my fav apps from here to my fav tech site and saving so much traffic because it a top5 or so countrywide site.
they update themeselfs or get noticed from users / readers like me.
i gave a hint on kanri as they have nothing like that.
hope all is well, i try to help how i can.
don't want to say anything so guess what two or three apps i need very bad.
if later needed hit me in my ads thread about online revenue!
hope it's not (to) ofensive but i have to resolve the 3 apps ASAP, somehow, as don't cope with live otherwise.
it's sad but it's so.
p.s.: sorry, if my english is not so good but school english and a big while ago and/or only here used.
sometimes one letter kills all sense, if found i correct it.
i also checked that british and american english are a bit different but i can both or use them without making a difference.
