It supports a range of file containers (MP4, MKV, WebM), video encoders (AV1, H.265 and H.264, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, VP9), audio encoders (AAC / HE-AAC, MP3, FLAC, AC3, E-AC3, Opus, Vorbis), and audio pass-through (AC-3, E-AC3, FLAC, DTS, DTS-HD, TrueHD, AAC, Opus, MP3, MP2). Optional hardware acceleration is available. It supports title / chapter and range selection, batch scan and queueing of encodes, chapter markers, subtitles, and more.

HandBrake Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.
