Toucan 1.x Series

The Toucan 1.x series is where we are now in the Toucan lineage, I'll split this post into two halves, what we have in the 1.x series, and what is coming.

The latest version in the 1.x line-up is 1.2 Although 1.2 didn't at many new features there were a large numbers of code changes behind the scenes that should make it far more stable than 1.1 was. 1.2.1 is planned as a far smaller update, that should be released in the next few weeks. 1.2.1 will mainly be a bug fix after this initial 1.2 release, although some new built in variables such as @yy@ @hh@ and @mm@ will be included for representing more complex dates. The 1.x series is currently planned to end with the 1.2 series although if some of the 2.0 features were easy to back port I would consider doing it as a stop gap measure.
