Has anyone else noticed that if you go to the online store, under the Office section, Mozilla Sunbird, Portable Edition shows up. However, if you go through the PA.com Platform via Apps, then Get More Apps... you see Mozilla Sunbird, Portable Edition 2nd Profile, but not Mozilla Sunbird, Portable Edition? I just noticed this...

Since many years, my family and myself, we are downloading and using programs, offered on this site by Mr. John and his able
helpers. I wish I was able to offer them a glass of cold water, but our means do not permit. However, my family and my self wish to tell Mr. John and his people, that we thank you for such nice programs, which we might not have been able to get other wise. Hi everyone,

I recently emigrated to Germany and am struggling with the language. My firm deals with a lot of scanned PDFs in German but doesn't convert them to searchable ones.

I would like a portable USB tool that I could quickly lift text out of scanned PDFs and place into google translate for example.

Does such a thing exist?

I'm guessing from no replies to my queries, that no "full" manual exists?
It's similar to uT, but not exact copy. Haven't found much in "Help" on qBT's official site.

Couple of examples for questions:
In options>downloads section, a "keep incomplete torrents in."
? Assume ? if don't change default for this, incomplete & complete are kept in same location?

But, doesn't seem to be option to save torrents to CUSTOM path. There's an option to "save files to location," (change location to save files, but not for torrents?)

Tried qBittorrent 3.0.0 installed locally in Vista x64.
It extracted fine & I made a few options changes, similar to what's in uTorrent. Started d/l a torrent & when tried dragging one edge of main GUI, immediately crashed Vista.

I'm a little perplexed that on the home page it alludes to the app being able to be run from a cloud drive rather than a portable device? Yet there is no instructions anywhere on how to do this? Is it really meaning storing data on the cloud?

hi all i have warzone 2100 portable installed on my usb and use the game at home and free time on my course. on my course the computers running windows 7 and the game runs no problem there but at home im running vista and when i run the game the terrain does not appear. its there the game runs but no picture. any suggestions????

can you tell why portableapps.com prefer SMPlayer?
what the different? (beside the other is the fork of MPlayer)

Could someone please clean up the newest entry to the Off Topic Forum. It has been there for hours. I find it to be very offensive. Isn't there some kind of filter that PortableApps.com could be using to prevent this from happening again. Seeing this kind of offensive material makes PA look bad.

The new Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 seems to be the best for 4K writes:
search for ( best flash drive whoratesit )

But its not without issue (intermittent freezes)
search for ( sandisk random 4k comments whoratesit )

I am looking for better alternatives.
