wxBasic and IDE ready for test!

Submitted by iamacooldude on December 1, 2006 - 6:01pm

I have just finished creating a portable version of the open source wxBasic(http://wxbasic.sourceforge.net/) and the wxEditor.
Zip file with just files:
http://xstreamsystems.co.nr/PortablewxBasic.zip
http://eyecreate.dre.am/portable/PortablewxBasic.zip
Ready to install using Portable apps menu:
http://xstreamsystems.co.nr/PortablewxBasic.exe
http://eyecreate.dre.am/portable/PortablewxBasic.exe
You need the PortableApps Menu 1.0.2 Beta 2 to use this, it fixes the current directory issue.
Any Comments or suggestions?

Gaim OTR Encryption Plugin for 2.0 Beta 5 (Testers Needed)

If anybody can test out the new OTR plugin and see if it works correctly, I can update the instructions and package for download. Thanks...

It would appear that beta 5 broke the old plugin, so a new version is needed. There's a new version on their website. The installer does *NOT* work with Gaim Portable. And, from the directory layouts, the OTR plugin may no longer be portable.

Try downloading this file: Gaim OTR 2.0 b5 Plugin (UPX Compressed)

Copy that to your GaimPortable\App\Gaim\plugins directory in an instance of Gaim Portable 2.0 Beta 5.

XN Resource Editor PE Updated! Beta testers needed!!

Submitted by otbsupport on November 23, 2006 - 10:06am

XN Resource Editor PE has been updated to match John's Portable Application Format, and the annoying bugs in the INI file have been fixed. It should also now be compatible with Vista (although my Vista machine blew so I can't test it). Give it a try and let me know what you think!

All other OTBSoft apps will be getting overhauled soon as well, and we have a few more in the works...

I've posted a build of the PortableApps Menu with a fix for the issue seen on laptops with high-res LCDs. This new release should work with both normal (96dpi) and high-res (120dpi) settings in Windows.

Download PortableApps Menu 1.0.2 Beta 2

Place this file in your X:\PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu directory (replacing the existing one).

UPDATE (November 21): It's been updated to 1.0.2 Beta 2 (Build 1.0.1.2). The following fixes are included (over version 1.0.1):

- Form no longer scaled when running on 120dpi system

AutoLauncher4U3 Beta

Submitted by computechx on November 20, 2006 - 8:36pm

I've been posting in the U3 forum, but maybe this should be here as this really is still in beta.
I posted a new update to my autolauncher, it replaces the launchpad on Sandisk U3 Drives with a launcher that will launch any app you choose when the drive is inserted.
Use it to launch PStart, etc. or the new PortableApps Menu with out any need for a prompt.
