Beta Testing

Ok, before anyone says this, I know that InkscapePortable is already in delopment.

A few days ago, I decided to try my hand at learning some NSIS. When I was looking through my PortableApps folder, I discovered that the current version of InkscapePortable is written in au3, and decided that it would be the perfect candidate (that and the fact that, being a Linux program originally, it doesn't use the registry).

Well, here's what I got:

I'm using Slax, but sometimes I need Windows, so I also use (or create) portable apps .

Slax uses modules, which are simply compressed files with LZMA algorithm. The modules are used without extraction, directly reading is supported.

I don't know how to read directly but if someone interests, I guess it won't be such a hard job...

All the .exe packages are safe to use i can promise you there is no spyware, ad aware, viruses, and rootkits.. i made the .exe packages for easy installation

Note: in both installers u have to change "(DRIVE LETTER HERE)" to the drive letter

I've just posted a pre-release of Firefox Portable 3.0.11.1 Revision 2. This has a fix for the SFTP cache issue mentioned here.

BUG BACKGROUND: If you use SFTP, it prompts you to cache the key in the registry on first connection to a new server. Until now, we've been telling people not to cache keys. But, some people don't know and do anyway.

FIX: The registry key is now saved and restored.
