Am I missing something here?
Is there any other point of installing the PortableApps Platform to the Google Drive Sync folder other than to have a BackUp that you can download?
I am not seeing how to make the apps open & run from Google Drive. I just get a message that there is no preview of the EXE for the PortableApp that I try to open.

I noticed the other day that in one PA installation the icons associated with LibreOffice were all listed while in another case only one showed up. In the instance where only one icon was showing I found that, in PortableAppsMenu.ini there was a line:
ShowSingleIconForMultiIconApps=true
In the PortableAppsMenu.ini in the other installation there was no such line. (Adding it fixed the problem.)

I noticed there is a new version (0.35.11) of CherryTree. Could it be updated to PA version?
It is a nice program & I use it everyday.

I had installed lots of portable apps on my computer. Now, I want to be able to receive automatic updates provided by the portableapps platform. Is that possible?

Hi guys, I used portable aps for a long time.
longer than five years. Everyday at work and at home.
I have flush mounted usb attached to my work PC that has my open source aps that I use.

After a recent update of the platform. I now get the donate screen coming up everytime.
This is great - I want to make a one time or small monthly payment and should have started a long time ago.

My question is if I give money does the donate screen go away so I can go to work?

I have used PortableApps a very long time. I have rarely commented on it. I finally feel I want to say a few things ...

COMMENTS

1 - Its simply the BEST initiative on portable applications ever made.

2 - The open structure of the menuing system that lets you add non-PortableApp listed apps is a wonderful thing. Its made everything I do easier. The fact is most apps I use are portable. Having a simple way to organize and use them on several computers has made my life better.

Hello. Win7 x64. Nube a Bit confused. Transferred 2 folders to USB Drive that I need to compare. Do I need to use the portable apps download or the regular WinMerge home site download, to install and use to perform a comparison & possible merge?
