Hello to all. I do not know if ago well when placing the message here, I hope that they know to excuse if and committed an error. What I wanted to raise is an application that serves to synchronize the data with respect to the PC, so that?

Look for an application that will automatically sync up a desinated folder on a pc and download these files to a folder within the thumbdrive running portable apps.

What I like is to have a user plug in thumb drive run this program that will go out a predetermined drive on desktop and download most current files to the thumbdrive automatically.

Any help be great.

I think the category list should be updated and a few apps shuffled.

SpeedCrunch seems more Education- than Office-related.

The Internet category is a bit catch-all. I don't think Nvu/KompoZer need to be in the Internet category (development is just fine). Thunderbird doesn't need to be there either. It can stay in the office category or perhaps be grouped with Pidgin and Miranda into a new Messaging category (along with the Lightning Thunderbird extension).

Hi, this is not a question about running PortableApps in Linux.

The main question is the following: I'll maybe switch to a laptop with Linux, from what I read in some applications (Thunderbird, Firefox) it's only a question to copy a certain folder to the application structure so that the application can become portable. So, if I understand correctly, it does not matter if the folder is copied from Windows or Linux and so on. Is that right?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to set up my PA on my USB key so that whenever I plug in the USB key on any windows computer, it auto launches CoolPlayer. Is this possible? Any help is greatly appreciated

Hey John,
You have a typo in the support page about configuring Miranda. Step seven you have "if you don't see if" the second if should be "it". Also in the same step You say "double click on it's system tray", that "it's" should be a "its". ( In case you don't know, "It's" is a contraction meaning "it is" and "its" is the possessive pronoun.) Sorry I know I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi.

I have a Sony 8 GB USB Stick, on which I have every "formal" PA App, and soon some more, I hope.

I am seeing something strange, though...

Occassionally, when I shut down all of the apps that I have been running, and exit the PA Menu app from the tool bar, and then go to dismount (eject) the USB Drive - I get a message that there are still files open on the drive, and I cant eject it.

IS anyone aware of an app or way of telling what files it is thinking of, so I can log a bug report against the particular app in question?
