I recently found that the Portable Apps Platform no longer has a selector to show/hide the desktop icons, with the only way to actually performing the feat in PA was to mofify the ini.
I came across this small FREEWARE app that according to the site can be used portably. The program has some other options availialable to it. eg. auto show/hide icons with a click of the mouse. auto start on windows start, start minimized etc.
Named: AutoHideDesktopIcons

GeoGebra Portable would be so nice to see in the Education section.
http://code.google.com/p/geogebra/downloads/list?q=4.0 - that's the place to look for the portable version (among all the others)
Seems no work has been done on this since 2007. Would like to know if anyone is taking it on or not?
If not I may try though I'm a tech not a coder.
Hey, I used the search function because I was wondering if its possible
to get or create a portable version of MapleStory.
I also found out that you don't have to launch from the website,
you can also launch it by using "Gamelauncher.exe."
SO, this is what I'm going to ask you guys.
Is it possible to create a portable version using the PortableApps Format?
Hi I found a very Nice Tool for Security issues !
SysAnalyzer is an automated malcode run time analysis application that monitors various aspects of system and process states. SysAnalyzer was designed to enable analysts to quickly build a comprehensive report as to the actions a binary takes on a system. SysAnalyzer can automatically monitor and compare:
* Running Processes
* Open Ports
* Loaded Drivers
* Injected Libraries
* Key Registry Changes
OK, this idea goes WAY back to when things were done from a DOS command line, (-; and there were some sort apps that were called as "filters" that took the output from one source, sorted it, and then passed it on.
Hi,
Am trying to compile a program through Jportable but its found there isn't any javac(compiler) file in bin directory, Can any one help me out with this because i use command prompt instead of IDE....
I had read somewhere on the forums here that it is not possible to create a portable app for Windows Media Player, as it is connected too closely to the operating system. I had also heard that if I wanted a media player so badly that I should just use VLC. I need a media player that I can distribute widespread throughout my high school on flash drives - my classmates and I exchange much forbidden content and get away with whatever we can hack. My school has a large network of computers, somewhere around 600.
