JPasswords is a most effective password vault

Submitted by wkse on February 15, 2011 - 5:40am

May I direct your attention to the open source project "JPasswords"? This password database program, written in Java, has a clear design and many usable and data security features which you look for in vain elsewhere. Just try it out! - Encryption security standard is high, the app uses PasswordSafe V3.6 file format and realises high quality (cryptographic) random generation. - Keep your passwords safe - in an enjoyable environment!

Virtual Access Point Software

Submitted by howiehowie93 on February 14, 2011 - 8:36am

Hi,

a Mobile Apps version of a Virtual Access Point using a laptop with a network & a wireless connection available.

Just wondering if it has been discussed at all - can't find any mention of it in a Search. There are programs out there which make use the windows 7 feature but the computers I have access to all run WinXP.

I work all over the world for weeks at a time in places without WiFi and would really like to be able to connect my iPod Touch to the outside world. A bit selfish I know!

thanks in advance

ScubaPro SmartTrak

Submitted by Turbomoi on February 13, 2011 - 1:20pm

Good evening/morning depending on your time zone,

I just made a search on the forum for this software but didn't get any hit. Too bad that this software has not been made portable by Scubapro, because, as a diver, I travel a lot and I do not always bring my laptop with me to get my dives statistics.
So here's my small request

Program: ScubaPro SmartTrak

License: Freeware

I need this program to be portable
[link removed by Zach Thibeau, please link to the original site and not some filehost, to host it on a filehost is almost always illegal to do with most applications terms of service and the license it uses]

thanks in advance

Well, if you haven't heard already, I'm back and ready to develop new portable apps! *cheers in background*

Due to the overwhelming number of requests I accepted (and turned down) in the last forum, I've decided to post some guidelines for requesting apps for me to make. Please note though, that you can still post in the Request Apps forum, but I will mainly be looking at this topic for new apps to portable-ize.

Need Microsoft Sharepoint Designer 2011 to be portable

Submitted by derricks2 on February 10, 2011 - 2:19pm

Its free to download off of the Microsoft website. I need it portable. I am and will continue to make a portable version.

At my work we have roaming profiles with a shared driver we have our own folder access too from any computer. I need this to be portable as I cannot get this installed on every computer.

Any info would help.. or things I can try to get it to be portable. Thanks.
