Got a suggestion for an app that should be portable? Post it here.

First off, this is an awesome site. I had no idea this existed, but will sure spread the word throughout my fellow IT buddies here at work.
Has HijackThis ever been made portable? It's a single exe, and know that it's been acquired by Trend Micro, but was wondering if it was still able to be ported to a portable form.
Thanks!
P.S. Is there a tutorial someone could link on creating portable programs?
Woohoo, great news from the world of Linux! With mild tweaking, AmaroK, the media player that has driven people to swtich to Linux its soo good, HAS COMPILED ON WINDOWS. Im just testing the water to see if it could be made into a portable app. Its open source, and very popular to boot. Just seeing if theres interest.
Hi
I try TightVNC in portable apps and it's working great.
No modification just copy and refresh icon.
Voila!! an easy application to add

I do not have a great knowledge of Linux but I do know of two very small distros that can run from memory stick that could perhaps be converted to run in windows with an emulator. They are Damn Small Linux and Puppy Linux. Both are pretty slick as I have tried them from Live CDs, Puppy Linux is a little bigger in size but is expandable with extra apps and is bit better on the eye where as Damn Small Linux is smaller but uglier.
It would be very useful to have a scanner that hunts keystroke loggers running from a USB stick.
As a traveler, I fear using a computer in an Internet cafe because of the keystroke logger threat.
It would be nice to cripple the keystroke logger and book air travel online from the Internet cafe.
Hi folks,
I am learning NSIS, in particular the portabilizing aspects of it.
I want to portabilize the entire gcc toolchain, including cygwin (the only non portable part, imho...). I also want to portabilize the PRC-Tools plugin (prc-tools.sf.net) to aid in my PalmOS development.
I have Dev-C++ for desktop developement, GCC wouuld be solely for Palm developmtn now that I think of it.
is this feasible? How would I go about doing this?
Later Daze,
To whom it may concern..
do you think that you could maybe find more games for portableapps on a USB key or a flash drive?...
Sincerly yours
nessa
is there any media library that can load information of Audio like mp3 files and other audio or video format and also support for displaying and filtering media like WindowsMediaPlayer library or Realone Player library but portable that can hold information about music and video on a relative path
for eample can load information of media stored in PortableApp Drive\ Documents \ Music?
If you know please share it with me. thanks
Why not create an package manager like under linux, the software is in the portable apps repository, then just clik and go!
Similar an updater of programs installed.
Why not?
