Done. This is my first workable win32 program. Any question please ask.
Do not use this. Use the PortableApps.com Launcher instead.

What ist it for?
It helps you to create a clean portable application. This means no traces are left on the host computer and the application doesn't (normally) have to be changed in any way. (Maybe some configuration files)
Where can I get it?

use "Save As..." in your browser.

Hi,
does anyone know a way to set the APPDATA environment variable temporarily, i.e. during the run of a launcher?
It could be set via registry, but this would cause that other currently running applications would not find their data anymore. (At least I think)
Any ideas?
I have been using Google Sketchup for a while now, and I always wondered if it would be possible to make it portable. (To use at my workstation in the office).
As an experiment, I just copied the Sketchup folder from my C: Drive and pasted the copy into the "Portable Apps" folder on my USB drive.
When I started the portable apps launcher, lo and behold, Sketchup was there!
I ran it on 3 different machines, with positive results.
Which leads me to my next question: Does anyone know of any other popular applications that can be added in this way?
As the Convey Portable app is being developed, and an addon section is soon to come, I started thinking of some useful addons. One would be an autohotkey script to simulate the shell integration features in an installed version of 7-zip. This would be under SendTo and not actual shell integration. I can get it to work by opening the file manager, then selecting the proper task, but i'm wondering if there is a way to make it directly open the proper window, just like shell integration for the installed version would.
I have a feature request for the portable apps backup utility. Could an option be added to backup the data to an encrypted archive format please?
Is there anything significant in the Pidgin release what would warrant this being worked on and released by the Portable Apps team? Is there anything I can do to help?
Thanks for your great work,
George
