Portable App Development

Hi everybody, I can't make Portableapp.com Launcher if registry not write before programs running, but, I have .reg with 1772 line, this will take a long time if write a manual to [RegistryValueWrite] ?

please tell me, how to convert (.reg) to [RegistryValueWrite] ?
or is there a simple way for this ?

Not really sure which category this should go into but since many of the developers use Sourceforge to host their apps I thought this would be appropriate in this topic.

Do someone know a program, which can open *.dat files and show me the content of that special file?

I just thought I'd post this, since there is basically no effort involved to incorporate it into the current library. There exists a "Portable Python" app that I discovered the other day at http://www.portablepython.com/ .

The installer is not exactly like the PortableApp installer, but it does basically the same thing and the extracted directories basically meet the requirements to be included in the library of apps without any further modifications.

When I placed the files with my other PortableApps, the Suite integrated it without a hickup. Talk about sweet!

A while back, I remember seeing a guide for taking a java application and making it portable. I went through 10 pages of the search function, trying to find it, but it's eluding me. Also, are there any guides to taking a java app, and get it to recognize and use jportable?

I've used the Launcher serveral times successfully, but just ran into an issue. I tried using the Launcher manual located at https://portableapps.com/manuals/PortableApps.comLauncher/, but had trouble understanding it (I have issues with comprehending what I read). I'm trying to make a portable version of TeraCopy v2.27 for personal use, but got an error. The end of the error log file is below.

Not sure if I have put this in the right forum, but looks like the NFO viewer iNFekt now has a PortableApps version to go along with the other versions:

AFAIK, this is the first version to feature the PortableApps installer - the previous 0.8.1 only had the standard .zip portable editions.

I'm new to using the Launcher and would like to have clear instructions on how to do the following.

I'd like my custom PortableApp to register specific protocols so that from the shell or a web browser one could launch the app via, say, 'sip:1234@server'.
However, I'd like to make sure that if HKCU already has this protocol association, save it, modify it with my values and when the portable app terminates, restore the original values.
