Yeah a bit ago I tried to portablize MoinMoin but after the 1st time I launched it it would not work, I believe this to occur because moin.exe is executed before the launcher moves all the data files back to App\moinmoin
Any suggestions?
Hi
I'm writing a Comic Book files reader (Java-Comix) and I have prepared portable version of it (unfortunately only manual installation is required) - soon it will be available from source forge page (I mean the portable version).
But back to the question - how to add a new shortcut to a folder from the USB drive to the menu (like there are Documents, Music, Pictures, Video...)?
I want to have a "Comic books" option there. It would be fallowing path: Documents\Comix
Is it possible to extend that menu?
Thanks in advance,
Wrobel-Cwirek
Hi!
Here's a PAM-Mod-theme that'll remember you (in case you'll use it ;-)) that's time to switch of the screen and visit your next pub to drink a colossal glass of root beer. Or, maybe, it's time to feed the chicken.
Cheers!
Hi All,
I have searched through the forum, but I did not find the answer directly.
I manage to create a Portable App, but, I just need to create a PAF.EXE file, in order to let it "install" via the PAM.
Can anobody tell me the "secret"?
Thanks a lot in advance...
A while back I was looking for an open source Music Notation/Composition Program. I found Lilypond, which is all text based. I was going to work on making it portable, but it's not that beneficial to most users. There are about three GUI's for Lilypond, but only one has Windows binaries, and it's not so great. It also hasn't been updated in a while.
I am attempting to make ToDoList 5.3.9 paf compliant.
What: ToDoList is a hierarchical task manager with native XML support for custom reporting. It allows you to repeatedly sub-divide your tasks into more manageable pieces, which makes it ideal for IT related projects as well as more general activities.
Size: about 2MB
Registry: None
Writes Settings: .xml file

Hi Folks!
For all you hungry people here surfin' all night long in this forum.
Another futile theme wasting space on your tiny HDD (or USB-stick).
And now, close and relax your bloody eyes attacked by senseless pixelwork
Greetings, your MrElchbau (who's waiting for a homepage-link in the startposition post)
Hi:
I have already seen around here people asking for netbeans portable. I made an experiment and realized that it is possible - at least with version 5.5.1-
I zipped the contents of the folder where it was installed, then unzipped it in another pc, and found it doesn't have any problem, except that you have to let it know where is java jdk. So a simple patch is this: unzip it and edit etc\netbeans.conf
Set the java path in etc\netbeans.conf at:
netbeans_jdkhome="c:\program files\Java\jdk1.6.0_02" (or wherever you have it).
Hey guys, I've been working on an app.
The idea is to have it set to autorun. It would popup with the menu which would let you check off the actions you want performed as the drive starts up. It also includes a button which if clicked, would act as a mailto link, so they can contact you.
It would include an .ini file that would allow you to completely customize it. Pretty much everything could be tweaked in the ini file, including:
