Lightning Extension

for Thunderbird Portable

As an alternative to Sunbird Portable, you can also use the Lightning Extension from Mozilla. It has the same functionality as Sunbird (scheduling and tasks) except that it installs as an extension, integrating itself into Thunderbird's interface. It also takes up far less space than the standalone Sunbird Portable does.

Pre-1.0 Release Note: This is pre-1.0 software and may have occasional bugs. Backing up your data regularly using the easy-to-use backup utility in the PortableApps.com Platform is recommended.

Download and Installation

You'll need to download the extension to your computer and then install it within Thunderbird:

1. Click the Download Now link above to go to the Lightning download page
2. On the Lightning download page, right-click the Install Now button and save the XPI file to your computer or portable device
3. Within Thunderbird Portable, click Tools - Extensions - Install and then select the file you just saved
