Thank you very much for the application update.

Btw, anybody know how to change yahoo search engine to google? This trick doesn't work anymore:

about:config > browser.search.defaultenginename > Google

Thanks.

I suppose this question belongs rather to Firefox portable?
With my installation (Ff port. 7.0.1 / Windows) the String "Google" works.

Kind regards - Christoph

Dear Team,

just to inform you - actually I don't know, maybe a database mistake?

I was using Thunderbird portable 7.0 in German language until yesterday.
After updating through the PA Updater, now I have the Thunderbird portable 7.0.1 ENGLISH.

My mistake?

Kind regards from Switzerland - Christoph

What language do you have the Platform in? English?

Hi Chris,

no, I have everything in German language and everything worked fine (for years now, using the updater since 1.0b4)
Only the update from 7.0 to 7.0.1 changed the language.
By the way: same problem on Firefox portable 7.0 -> 7.0.1, now a nice mixed version (the whole bookmark section in German "Lesezeichen", rest English).
Using Windows 7 in (Swiss!) German language and downloaded both 7.0 -> 7.0.1 updates the same day - yesterday.

PS: I will check now the other 3 systems I'm running PA on... and will come back with more information.

Checked it - the other systems are ok! (both, Tb 7.0.1 and Ff 7.0.1)
So it must be my fault - Please excuse, Chris - and thank you for your quick reply and reaction!

Sorry...!
Kind regards - Christoph

If you run it from the Platform and the Platform is in German, it should update in German (I believe that's the way it is - it might also be if you installed it from a German package, but I don't think that's the way it works.)

You're safe to download the installer and install it over the installation directory; that will "repair" it to a German installation.

If you have any more problems with it or it happens again, please post and we'll follow it up further.

Dear Chris,

thank you very much for your quick and responsive help!
I did so and everything is "back to normal".
