It allows you to easily compress applications to decrease size on disk and increase performance when running from slow media like flash drives without affecting functionality. Though intended for developers, some advanced end users may also find it useful. This release adds automatic exclusion of Qt image handlers, updated branding and the latest UPX release. It's packaged as a portable app, so you can shrink your apps on the go. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

This update switches zip/jar compression to off by default as it can cause issues with some released apps. When upgrading, your existing settings will not be changed, but we suggest all developers switch to not compressing zip/jar files without fully testing each app.

In the help file in base app directory clicking on the hyper-link for this programs home page gives a 404 error https://portableapps.com/go/PortableApps.comAppCompactor as does the second hyperlink for more help

Edit actually all the links in help files go to the 404 error
