logoWaveShop Portable 1.0.9.4 has been released. WaveShop is a bit-perfect audio editor that doesn't modify samples unless they need to be. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the PortableApps.com Platform.

Features

WaveShop is a free, open-source audio editor. WaveShop is fast, lightweight, and bit-perfect, meaning samples aren't altered unless they need to be. Editing a portion of an audio file only affects that portion; the rest of the file is untouched. Blocks of audio can be cut and pasted without changing their contents at all. This is especially useful for patching a finished master without corrupting its dither. Waveshop's features include peak and RMS analysis, normalizing, fading, audio generation, and more, all with unlimited undo. WaveShop supports WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP3 and other popular formats.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

WaveShop Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Looks like SourceForge broke again. It's been uploaded and sitting there in the upload server but hasn't been detected in the appropriate window. We may have to wait until Monday.

A re-upload seems to have kicked the file mirroring, so it should be available now.
