Mozilla Thunderbird® ESR, Portable Edition has been merged into Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition, just like local Thunderbird ESR releases have been merged into local Thunderbird releases. The mainstream releases are now operating to similar standards as the Mozilla Firefox ESR - they are stable for approximately one year, before receiving feature updates.

Existing users can rename their ThunderbirdPortableESR directory to ThunderbirdPortable and automatically update via the PortableApps.com Platform or download the current Mozilla Thunder, Portable Edition release and run the installer to update.

Mozilla®, Thunderbird® and the Thunderbird logo are registered trademarks of the Mozilla Foundation and are used with permission.

I debated doing a custom installer to rename ThunderbirdPortableESR to ThunderbirdPortable for users of the PA.c Platform, but as ESR was never intended for everyday users and only shown to advanced users who specifically chose the Advanced Apps in Options in the platform, I didn't feel it was necessary.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
